When doing your morning planning, don’t try to predict the whole day. It takes more effort and you’re probably going to be wrong. Don’t over-schedule either, guessing exact timings is very rigid.
Think of the few most important things. There may be a scheduled task or two already in the day. Add anything else vital, and schedule a time only if it must happen at that time.
Then, as the day goes, you should start a focus session and start pulling tasks from your lists. During the work day, a lot of this will come from the work project. After, if you still have bandwidth, pull from the next actions project.
The only downside I see here is that I’m probably less likely to get a good amount done if I’m not being held to it. If my method for doing tasks is “pull from the lists throughout the day”, there’s no minimum limit, and I can get away with slacking.
So maybe, in our morning planning, we do two main things. 1, Add priorities to today. And then 2, think about focus blocks. If you see clear gaps during productive hours, you can book a session, and you should treat it like a work meeting - don’t miss it! This is where you just pull tasks and complete them. Maybe you schedule a work block and a next actions block.
