Tools are useful, widely applicable systems that can assist in various situations. They are not processes or trackers, so they instead contain techniques, tricks and advice.
There is still a habit around tools, but it’s specifically the habit of using the right tools at the right times. By mastering this, all tools can be used to their maximum potential.
