Overarching principles vs mindsets.

Principles are general approaches that guide decisions and strategies throughout life.

Mindsets are ways of thinking that can help in specfic moments to perform well or fix issues.

Therefore, principles should go in the learning path, since they apply globally, and mindsets should go into the system groups, since they are specific.

But I don’t think mindsets should simply be thrown into one big bucket. They should be scattered throughout.

Are they their own type of system? They’re rarely processes. Not trackers. Too subjective to be knowledge. Not resouces. Are they tools? Well, maybe they technically are with our current definitions, but I don’t think they should be. Tools should be apps, templates and tricks that I’ve created. Mindsets are not a tangible creation, they’re like a mix between tool (specific) and knowledge (theoretical).

Our mindset is the way we approach problems and situations. While values are more likely to stay put, our mindset is meant to grow and change regularly. When you want something to change in your life, your mindset can take on a new approach, from which knowledge and then skills can follow.

While aspirations and values are unique, the mindset doesn’t have to be. Some mindsets are more effective than others.
